On September 16, BMO assembled a group of female leaders from across the bank—Personal and Business Banking, HR and Communications, Wealth Management, Capital Markets, and IT—to sit down with seven young women participating in the Girls Belong Here program. They were joined by three inspiring female entrepreneurs and by Caroline Reisboro, CEO of Plan International Canada, the organization spearheading Girls Belong Here. BMO is the Leading Sponsor of the program.

With discussion ranging from the importance of seeking out mentors and building networks, to overcoming self-doubt and how to approach career building from the early stages, the 22 powerful women at the table found common ground and gained valuable insights.

This first-ever roundtable event complemented BMO’s other activities as part of Girls Belong Here, for which the bank is the leading sponsor in Canada. This year, the second for BMO, four young women stepped into the shoes of BMO senior leaders for the day in Canada, the U.S. and the U.K. This is part of the bank’s ongoing commitment to support female leaders and to fulfill its Purpose to Boldly Grow the Good in Business and Life.
